Shells, Rocks, Bone (Mono)
Wednesday, 19 June 2002
Olympus C2040Z
1/200s @ f/2.6 (no flash)
105 mm lens, ISO 100

I took this photo during a camera club outing. We were given an assignment sheet of subjects to shoot, and then wandered around the Shellharbour foreshore.
This was originally a colour photo, which I converted to B&W in Photoshop using the Channel Mixer.
The judge in the KSCC competition liked the range of tones and the detail in the picture, and felt the bone gave it a stronger center of interest than it would have if it was just a photo of shells. I was actually complimented on my darkroom work for this one — the judge didn't realise it was a digital photo printed on an inkjet printer!
