Mother And Daughter (Mono)

This is my wife Megan and my daughter Grace in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) the day after her open-heart surgery. Fortunately, she has made a complete recovery and is now healthier than ever.

The judge in the KSCC competition was the photo editor of the local newspaper, and thought this would make a great newspaper photo. He thought it captured the emotion and frailty of the situation well.
