Forster Jetty (Mono)

This photo was taken in November during our holiday at Forster. The colour picture was a bit bland, so I turned it into a black and white print. It still lacked a bit of texture, so I added film grain using a Photoshop filter. Sometimes those filters are a bit cheesey, but in this case I think it improved the picture. It's still subtle enough that it doesn't look like a special effect.

The judge in the KSCC competition thought it was a "solid study in light", and liked the way the beams of light from the sun seem to meet up with the tops of the poles along the jetty.
